The Jessamine
Jamboree in October includes a harvest festival, live music, and
showcases local craftsmen and artisans. May is the time of the Kentucky
Wine and Vine Festival. Jessamine County, KY was home to the first
commercial vineyard in America,
begun in 1799. Twelve vineyards and one winery flourish here today.
Though there are other wine festivals held in the region, in 2005 the
state of Kentucky named the Nicholasville event the official state wine
festival.
Historic Downtown Nicholasville hosts the 4th
Friday Jam Session, highlighting local musicians. Halloween is a
special time with 'Spooktacular' costume judging and Main Street trick
